Festival Time Line
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2008
| 8:00 AM - | Cooking Teams will be allowed to start setting up. No team will be allowed to set
up without contacting the Committee Facilities Chairman. |
| 11:00 AM - | Teams wishing to sell food for lunch may start as soon as the DHEC inspection
approval is received. |
| (TBA) PM - | The competition meat can be picked up at the designated site. The competition
butts and ribs are furnished by the event to ensure equal quality of product.
Each competition team will be issued 3 butts and 4 racks of ribs. |
| 5:00 PM - | There will be a required cookers briefing at 5:00 PM in the Judge’s Center
(Chamber Visitors Center). Your team captain or member must attend. |
| 7:00 PM - | The festival begins with opening remarks from the main stage. Live music
begins. |
| 11:00 PM - | Music will end for the evening. A quite time will be observed in the festival area
until 8:00 AM Saturday morning. Please be considerate of those wishing to sleep
in the festival area. There will be security on patrol, so please do not display any
alcoholic beverages. Everyone will be subject to city and state laws. |

| 9:30 AM - | Judging begins. South Carolina Barbeque Association certified judges will be in
charge. For information on the SCBA visit their Web Site: www.scbarbeque.com
Entries shall be turned in promptly to the receiving table at the Judge's Area at the
following times. |
| 9:30 AM - | Boston Butts. |
| 10:15 AM - | Ribs. |
| 11:00 AM - | Barbeque Team Hash. |
| 11:30 AM - | Sale of barbeque and hash begins. |
| 12:00 Noon - | Live music starts from the main stage. |
| 2:30 PM - | Barbeque Championship Awards and raffle drawing announced from the main stage. |
| 4:00 PM - | Sale of barbeque and hash concludes. Music ends and the festival closes. |
